The Future Is Medieval is the fifth studio album by English rock band Kaiser Chiefs, originally released through their website on 3 June 2011, a physical release was released on 27 June 2011.
The album is to be released in North America on March 6, 2012 under the title Start The Revolution Without Me. The album will contain several songs from The Future Is Medieval as well as several new songs[7]

The album's promotion is unique in that it gave fans the opportunity to create their own version of the record by choosing their favourite 10 tracks from the selection of 20 on offer, as well as being able to customise their own artwork. Fans are also able to share their version of the record with other people, once it has been created, earning them £1 each time it's purchased by someone else.
Just days before the album was announced a music video for the track "Little Shocks" was released online via the band's official website. The album's title is taken from the lyrics of the track "Child of the Jago".
